The
Treehouse of Upper Captiva Island (aka North Captiva Island) is
located in the Gulf of Mexico due west of Pine Island, the Upper
Captiva shore port. Pine Island is located about 30 minute's drive
by car or airport shuttle from Southwest Florida International
Airport in Fort Myers.
All
of the airport shuttle services from the SW Fla International
Airports offer direct service to Pineland Marina, stopping along
the route for groceries at Publix,
Kash & Karry, or Winn Dixie Shopping Centers.
Visitors without their own boat may travel to the island via water-taxi
ride from the Pineland Marina on Pine Island. Island Charters
runs a water-taxi from Pineland Marina to Upper Captiva Island
(total time: 15 to 20 min). The cost is$25. Visitors should plan
to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before their scheduled departure to
allow for loading and parking. Long-term parking is available
