SRC Mission Statement

"To develop research, training, and technological approaches for the application of design-based stereology to biological tissue."

The Stereology Resource Center (SRC)

The SRC is the only company in the world specificially focused on the application of stereological approaches to the analysis of biological tissue. We provide stereology-related books, training, integrated hardware-software systems, consulting support, and outsourcing services -- the resources to move your research program to the next level.

SRC clients and customers include private and federal agencies in academia, government, and private industry.

The SRC differs from other vendors of stereology-related products and services in a number of important ways. First, we understand the basis of your biological questions, we know your challenges, and we share your ideals. Our goal is to move your research program in the direction of success, not sell something that you do not need and will not use.

Second, we offer our customers effective advice on how to process tissue for specific projects; how to chose the best parameter based on biological considerations; and, how to use design-based stereology to write a peer-review paper or grant proposal. Peter R. Mouton, Ph.D., a well-trained biomedical scientist, principal investigator, and stereologist, supervises the day-to-day activities of the SRC, with assistance and support from professional associates, subcontractors and collaborators. For more information on Dr. Mouton's background click on his Biosketch and peer-reviewed publications.

Third and perhaps most importantly, our work adheres to the same high standards of professional integrity of the biomedical research community.

Since 1995 literally thousands of research scientists in the international biomedical research community have taken advantage of stereology-related resources. To discuss your stereology-related project, call 410.643.4901 or email src@disector.com.

We look forward to speaking with you.
